Fx SIMPLE DELAY PROB..

I am using the simple delay from sonic with a wave file.
I am putting this on the track{not a bus}.
The setting is suedo stereo and it says {one channel only}.
I pan the channel to the left and I should be hearing left
and right stereo from a mono track,but I don't.
Any clues?
This is the SIMPLE DELAY that comes with Vegas Video.
I have had this work before,so I am missing something in
what I did.
Help anyone?

The simple delay does not perform a channel conversion on the media.
The intent of that preset was to just add a slight delay to one
channel (in Sound Forge, for example) to add the illusion of space
when you play back both channels.

In your case, since the signal is still mono before and after the
effect, a hard pan will indeed show up wherever you panned it.

To get the desired effect, duplicate the track, pan one hard left and
the other hard right, then add the delay to only one of them.

Alternatively, you can re-render the track as stereo and apply the
delay destructively in an editor that will allow you to control
channel selection (Vegas will not).

Regards,
Jason.
