Sony is today (June 8) releasing Sony Vegas Movie Studio 10 HD. Significant new features include built-in image stabilization, slide show creator, one-click white balance, etc.
I only had a short time to view info about the release since I need to head off to work, but the video demo of the stabilizer showed it being applied from a menu -- not from a Video FX. Could be something Sony wrote, or could be integration of someone else's stabilizer (New Blue, Mercalli, etc?) but it seemed integrated into the program itself.
Also bumps the max number of video tracks from 4 to 10. Adds proper 5.1 surround mixing and panning. etc.
A lot of nice features for our VMS brothers and sisters.

Downloadable trial version appears to be available -- I would guess a press release will appear sometime today.
Edit: Ooops -- it's already there:
