Gain line has disappeared from audio files...

HELP! The "blue line" GAIN adjustment has disappeared from all the audio tracks in my project. And it has been replaced by a light blue MUTE line which can only be all the up, or all the way down.

What have I accidentally done to deserve this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

View/ Audio envelopes/

there you can set the visibility on or off..

Sounds simple enough. But this was driving me nuts trying to figure it out.
