Gearshift Audio oddity!

The WS DV proxy avi file made from an m2t file has a mix of audio from the clip in question and from another clip in the same project. When I use Gearshift to swap back to the original m2t clip, the audio is back to normal.

I have got round this by rendering another audio track from the m2t for editing purposes, but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

GearShift is meant to be used as a first step in a blank project (i.e., to render your proxy before you start). It uses Vegas to render the proxies and does so by adding each media file to the timeline and rendering it. If you had any audio media on the timeline when you rendered the proxies, that audio will be picked up in GearShift. That is probably what happened.

I will add some code to GearShift to mute all audio tracks before it adds the media to the timeline. This should eliminate this problem. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In the mean time, always start with a new project before running GearSift.
