Using Vegas 4.0e, I'm seeing something weird. I have an AVI file created with TechSmith Camtasia Studio and when I import it into Vegas 4.0e and render using similar settings, the generated AVI file is huge compared to the original.
I'm using the same resolution, frame-rate, codec (TechSmith's), no audio, number of keyframes, etc. but the generated AVI is 100 MB compared to the original (2 MB).
Any ideas what could be happening? Could Camtasia be using it's codec in an optimal way that Vegas cannot?
Even if I try other codecs, I can't seem to get an AVI file as small as the original.
Thanks,
...Matt
