Found this out by complete accident.
The Nero 5.5 that came with my HP DVD burner included was a full version. worked great! When that died & I got a Sony burner it came with 6 OEM. It only worked with my DVD burner (so I couldn't use my Sony CD burner any more) & I couldn't change the DVD bit type any more. :( Pissed me off to high heaven.
So.. I ended up re-installing a few week ago. First time since I got the burner. I lost my OEM CD so I tried to find OEM version on Sony's site, no help. NERO's site didn't help either. I still had the CD key (saved that! :) ) so I decided to download the latest copy of Nero 6 from their website. I installed, put in the key & I now have the ability to set the bit type! :) I haven't tried (because I can't because I don't have another burner) but I'm betting I could even burn on multiple recorders too. :)
Thought someone else could find that real useful!
