Getting rid of Action FX.

Hi everyone,

So, I had recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 20, and I saw the option to install Action FX. I thought "why not?" so I did that. After installing, I see some notification regarding signing up for a subscription to Action FX. I do not want to do this, and I would like to completely opt out of any subscription in the future.

What is the best way to go about doing this? I know we live in a Alice in Wonderland Red Queen Race world, so I want to make sure I'm doing this the correct way.

My understanding is that the ActionVFX Starter Pack that comes with Vegas Pro is a collection of video media (e.g. mp4) that is imported into Vegas Pro's timeline in the same way that video media from a camera is imported. That is, ActionVFX is not an executable program (installed via an .exe or .msi file). To remove ActionVFX media from your computer, find the folder on your computer to which it has been imported and just delete the ActionVFX media or the entire folder if there is nothing else listed there other than ActionVFX media.

If it were an executable file, then the program can be uninstalled via Apps & Features (Windows 10) or via Installed Apps (Windows 11).
