Gettingall .vf clips in the Trimmer/empty timeline

In the trimmer help notes it talks about "media" and getting media into the trimmer. But is the .vf project considered media?
I have a .vf project of 1 hour of about 30 clips I want all them in the trimmer with a empty timeline.
I found I could select drag a individual clip to the trimmer but when I tried select all I could find no way to get them all in the trimmer. Plus it left a copy of the full media on the timeline.
Under general I selected open media in the trimmer but it did not open the .vf media there. More confusion.
I am just learning the trimmer and need help.

Thanks,
Bill Kranz

You can use a project file as"media" in Vegas Pro (actually it's an embedded timeline), but not in Vegas Movie Studio, Bill.

The .vf file is not media and does not include media. It is your project file, which just records all of the edits you've made and the effects you've added to the media you've imported into it.

Steve,

Okay thanks for the information. I explored the function some more but can only edit one clip at a time in the Trimmer View.

Take care,
