I have a client that needs a tutorial video done with live screen capture of the program being used.
I was just wondering if anyone has a personal favourite that you can recommend. That doesn't break the bank!
camtasia is one that was suggested by a friend but it's $300.
I've tried MME, Camtasia, CamStudio and WMCapture. WM Capture produced the best results (with the least amount of jerkiness or dropped frames) and can be easily imported into your V9 project without any further encoding. Also, won't bust the bank as free demo is available on line.
I'm confused as to the difference between capturing streaming video versus screen capturing. However, I was experimenting with various applications to capture Google Earth Tours, then, import the files into my V9 projects. WM Capture seemed to work the best with my hardware suite. As there is a flavor of WM Capture you can download for free, check it out. If it doesn't work for your particular purpose you can easily uninstall and move onto another free-bee application. Good luck
