There's no mention of being able to burn audio CDs in the help screen, and i couldn't find any button or menu option that would do it, so i think that feature isn't available. I don't really find this surprising though since it's really intended to be a video editing program rather than general purpose media software.

That being said, you can edit audio only projects with Movie Studio. You can cut, paste, crossfade, rearrange, apply (a few) audio effects, adjust volume, mix up to three stereo tracks ... etc. When you're done you can render the songs to individual .wav files to be burned to CD by other software.

sony sells Acid for this purpose

ACID isn't a very good audio editor. It's intended for loop-based music generation and it is very good at this. As far as mixing and editing prerecorded audio, it's a very difficult way to go. It won't burn Disk-At-Once audio CDs either.

Vegas or CD Architect are definately the best choices for this task.
