Good instructions on FreeFilter plug?

I am havin a hell of a time with using FreeFilter.I figured it was
time to try to learn this one since we went through so much fun with
our mastering 101 project.
I have no help file on this, odd enough and their support is
pretty lacking to say the least.I am trying to understand
how to get a sample eqing of one piece of music{a cd} and
then take this eqing and apply it to the one I will be
working on.Especially when they are on two diff tracks;the
sample{cd} and the one we are working on.
One time I tried it and I tried the morphing and had to
turn down the volume on the channel -9db or I had total
distortion.Ouch.Save the ns10s!!!hahaha
God I cannot wait to use the masterers again!!!!!!
Any play by play help would be great.
Again I thank everyone who has helped at all times.Thanx
everybody!!!;-)

David:

Unfortunately for you, Radium is no longer around to offer tech
support to their registered lamerz. But not to worry: Freefilter is
just a 30-band eq passing-off as a miracle cure to bad mixes. Your
own ears are the best "spectrum analyzer". Trust your skill, try out
different things and eventually everything will be allright.

Bow your headz to the godz of warez
He invoked the " R " word

free filter is cool.... if you use it in a very very very controlled
situation....I use it sometimes to get the guitar sound at the
beginning of megadeth's Almost Honest onto other guitar tracks...
but think about what it is and how it works...it can only give ONE eq
curve...so if you run it in two different places, you will get two
different results....HOW can it copy a sound of ALL the
instruments....it CANT....

That was what I was thinking. An entire mix?????
This would be a miracle.
Actually this is the demo. And there is no help with it.
Thank god I never purchased this on a whim today!!!!

I believe I answered this question in an earlier post, but I'll
happily help out again. This is the quick-quick-version, Sound Forge
style (as it is the most complicated:)

1: load up source track.

2: Analyze it. (click the Source and Learn buttons).

3: SAVE THE PRESET. (this is the key step for SoundForge and other )

4: load destination track.

6: Analyze that one too. (Click Dest. and Learn buttons.)

5: There you go. Smack up Match and you're off.

Side note: As Victor pointed out, this is nothing but an 30-band
analyzer / EQ combo. It's useful for getting a quick grip on the
soundscape and toying around with various ideas for a mix (how about
we make our mix sound like THIS song or THAT song), but for "pro"
stuff it really sucks. Buy better monitors, clean your ears and use
your skills instead.

I'm a registered owner of FreeFilter and just used it on a nationally
released CD. 13 songs recorded over 7 years in very different
studios, from analog to digital. We picked out a couple songs that
we like the sound the most, analyzed them and then applied that EQ
curve to "nudge" a couple song into line. It then made mastering go
much smoother. Used with subtle care it's a nice tool.

I also have two projects every year which is a publishers catalogue
of arrangements. Each year there are few reissues from previous
years. Even though we record in the same studio with the same
musicians and mic's there are differences in the sound form year to
year. Again Freefilter comes in handy to quickly move the reissues
closer to the new material. These projects are very fast paced and
FreeFilter allows me to get the EQ closer quickly. I find it a very
nice tool to have in the tool box. MCM
