Wait a minute, you are that John Meyer? Maybe this is a sign of my nerdiness, but I am excited to find the man who wrote the piece of software that effectively spelled the end for the traditional printing press posting here :)
On another Vegas board I was delighted to find one of the principle designers of the Amiga. Are there any other founding fathers of desktop media lurking about?
In a nutshell, that's what Matthew Brohn told me whn I emailed him earlier today.
However, I've been asking (along with a lot of other users here) for improvements to VidCap since version 5.
The post I referenced dated back to 2004.
Sorry SCS but 5 years is a long time to wait for nothing :-(
Tape may be dying but it's far from being dead.
The Tape is finally dead and WOT: Belt for Beta VCR threads tell me that tape will be with us for some time to come.
While it's nice to be able to take advantage of the latest technologies, some of us work in areas (I'm at a community college) where we can't afford to upgrade hardware every few years.
My reality is that the pair of JVC-550Us my department bought 5 years ago has to last at least another 5 years before my bosses will even consider an upgrade.
Ha, Altair 8080 is definitely computer nerdiness. I'm not sure it qualifies as desktop media nerdiness. Still, you qualify in the founding fathers of desktop computering...
Q. When we, as registered members of this forum, submit a report to SCS Support, could it automatically pick up the details of our software and hardware that is already stored under our profile, instead of us having to enter everything from scratch, please.
the man who wrote the piece of software that effectively spelled the end for the traditional printing press posting here :)I founded Ventura Software. The printing press is still very much alive, although I guess the "traditional" label no longer applies.
