GPU acceleration for Sony Vegas Pro

Hello everyone,

I'd like to ask if it's true that Sony Vegas 13 no longer provides GPU acceleration with newest graphic cards? I mean OpenCL.

I'm going to build a new PC shortly and I wanted to confirm this gossip.

If you could tell me specifically if OpenCL would work on Radeon R9 380, that would be great.

The Evo is lightning fast. If you plan on putting a heavy load on it, and want transfer speeds that are a bit more stable, get the pro, but I'm quite happy with my Evo. I had windows installed and waiting for me to do something from the USB stick on a freshly formatted drive in under 10 minutes from power on. Boot times are only a matter of seconds. Programs open lightning quick. Plus the drive takes up pretty much no space in the system, even less than my RAM because it sits flush with the board. I'm definitely not regretting skipping the pro.
