GPU acceleration preferences disappear

I did an overnight render (to Quicktime Avid DnxHD) of multiple movies last night on two different computers, both with NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 & 580 video cards. Both began the night with GPU acceleration of video processing enabled.

This morning, as per usual, on both systems Vegas had completed the tasks and then crashed out. But what happened next is not typical.

After several warm & cold reboots, none of the cards show up in the GPU acceleration preferences. The NewBlue Pro Titler won't load, saying it won't work due to "low GPU capabilities". Is there any way, short of reinstalling, to help Vegas re-locate these cards?

Thanks in advance

Vegas v11 Build 595

Was able to fix this problem by reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers (v296.10), now Vegas again sees the NVIDIA cards.

Another thing I learned, you can't install NVIDIA drivers via remote connection
