GPU for Video montage

Hi there: I am a newbie in video design. I usually use Sony Vegas, After Effects, and have experience with Cinema4D. Since I need some better cards (for my new clients, I need to create a food delivery website), I decided to use a RTX 2070 super or a RTX 2080. However, 2080 is on the market, but as I understand, the new release of 3080 is around the corner. If it is worth waiting or I could choose between 2070s and 2080. Could someone shed some light on these doubts?

The Sony Vegas products are not able to use those cards, while the newer Magix Vegas versions can use them. If and how much depends on the sourcefiles, the used edits as FX or so, projectproperties and your rendertemplate for delivery. About those things you said nothing nor with the version and build of Sony Vegas you are using.
