Hi
Brand new to Vegas, just started using it last week
I am working on EXTREMELY computer intensive video tasks
I am managing 150 Mbps, UHD 60 P files, mixed with 2.7K GoPro Files with slo-mo, keyframe & cropping, transitions, title overlays. When all is said and done the files render to just over an hour long at about 28 GB's.
There seems to be a lack of 1080, 60P render options. I am currently using Sony XAVC S Long. I was using a consumerish editing system that gave me a render option of 1080 60p at 28 Mbps, and my files rendered to about 13 GB. Is there any way to adjust the render bit rate on the CODEC I am using now ?
The reason I am not usnig the previous editing system is because the software can't manage the files properly, Vegas Can.
In a nutshell, I am looking to render at 1080 60P at about half the bit rate of the current XAVC s Long option that I am using now.
ALSO
When I rendered on the consumer editing system my CPU would rarely hit above 20%. When I render on Vegas my CPU is hitting about 70% and above. I am not sure if Vegas is properly using my GPU Card (GTX-980 Ti) but I find the CPU levels on the high side. I found a GPU option in preferences that I have checked off but is there anything else I should be doing to ensure my GPU card is being properly utilized ?
Thanks.
