You can "grab" a frame and save it as a still. Or you can isolate a range of frames and pan across or up and down or at an angle as well as zoom in or out. Of course that's moving around within a video frame. You can also use motion track to have multiple smaller videos all playing at once and with the pluginpac you can also move in 3D space adding the "z" (depth) option. Which do you want to do? One of these or something else?

What I would like to do is to work with motion video - in essence to keep the whole of the conent but reduce its size and then have it play in whichever portion of the 720 x 480 frame I choose - could be center or left side or right side. In this case, 2d would be fine... it sounds like you are saying I need to purchase the pluginpac?

The pluginpac is a free download and can be found here.

It is essentially a DVE.

1) Pluginpac is free.
2) Track Motion already does what you need in 2D.
