Graphical Representation of API

Do you have a graphical representation of the API indicating how the objects interrelate? For example

Tracks - Properties/Methods of tracks
--- Events - Properties/Methods of events
------- Takes - Properties/Methods of Takes
----------- Media - Properties/Methods of Media

This would be similar to what I have seen from Microsoft showing how database objects relate to each other. While I could create one, I'm afraid it would be very incomplete.

(and, yes, I have a specific reason if you would like to e-mail me directly)

I do not... a nice class hierarchy diagram would be a nice addition to
the docs though (among many other things, admittedly).

Yes, you could quickly scan down the list and see that Takes are a part of Events and see the major objects and methods provided.

Ed, I had asked for this some time ago too. Being a Java programmer, I’m use to the class hierarchy diagrams that javadoc generates and I found the API documentation very hard to follow. SonicPJM was very kind in at least getting an alphabetic listing added so that you could find things easier. My copy of VegasScriptAPI.htm has a Revision Date of Apr. 04, 2003 but I see the one in the download package is still Jan. 22, 2003. I must have picked it up in a link on these forums. I’ll send you the copy I have.

SonicPJM, you might want to get the script download updated with the new API docs.

I'm just starting to get into these scripts and I was looking for a document that provides the Vegas methods and objects etc. I checked the site here and cannot find it. Where is the API document you mention?

Thanks, John
