i'm using 314 (i think).

unfortunately i don't think there's any 'consensus' as such - it seems to be a very hit or miss affair based on other components too.

this is where i wish scs would take some sort of lead and state what THEY think are suitable drivers for various cards.

If you have the Nvidia Control Panel installed, you can look at Help/System Information. That will tell you what your current driver is, as well as any updates. If you don't have the Nvidia Control Panel installed, you can to auto-detect at Nvidia.com.

running dxdiag will tell you all the driver stats.

this is where i wish scs would take some sort of lead and state what THEY think are suitable drivers for various cards.

That would also depend on the OS, what version of Vegas you're using, other apps you use...

Just don't update once you find one that works. Saves a lot of time that way. :)

I'll check the control panel tomorrow and report back...I keep getting notices of updates available, but am hesitant to change anything as my system has been working real smooth now for a while with the latest build. The only issue I have had was with Vegas changing a couple of file names (or connections to) in a project started in version 10 and finished in version12, and I'm pretty sure that's a Vegas glitch and not a graphics card issue. Thanks for the directions!

Well for what it is worth, I am running driver version 310.90, with no issues that I am aware of with VegasPro 12 build 726, EXCEPT that using certain new blue fx plug-ins will cause the program to crash. I haven't done a scientific study yet of which ones, or with or without gpu running however. Trying to get a project out the door right now and will play around with this a little more after I'm finished with it.
