i thought this could be accomplished with the 'floppy disk' icon in the Media Properties dialog.

but it doesn't seem to work for me. i import a jpeg, then change some properties, then hit the SAVE icon.

then i import another jpeg, but the properties do not reflect my saved settings.

how does this work?

get them all to have the same characterictis
that you desire , such as interlaced
-------------------
The use of takes on the timeline can help out here. I don't know of a way to do it with the media pool in less steps. Anybody know a way ?
To do takes/clip inherit -- Set one pic/media file on the timeline and adjust the properties as you need. Filters and other clip settings will carry over also.
Right click drag that adjusted media clip to the right and position as next pic. Release right mouse and select copy. Now you can right click drag the next pic/media file from explorer window to that clip you just copied. Select "add as takes". You know have just what you wanted. Horz. zooming helps to set transition lengths on the fly.
Takes is a crazy feature of Vegas. Use it to do --
Redoing track motion/pan crop effects with different media.
Instant tracking of matte files for compositing.
Automated multi VO recordings to time selection.
Clip Inherit

This makes them transfer to timeline with the characteristics I set in Media Pool OK, but I still have to change the characteristics of each individual one in the Media Pool. For example, if I have 10 files (image001.png - image010.png)in the Media Pool, group select them, and change the characteristics (properties), and drag them to the timeline, only the first one reflects the change. Am I doing something wrong?
