Grazie and ACID5 Media Manager?

I THINK I'm starting to understand Acid5 Media Manager [ A5MM ] - but need some "coaching".

What IS the approach you use? Do you seek and sort loops into the Tree Tags? Or is there another way? Once I've got Loops into Tags will this "library" then be available to other projects? Do you add and ought and as you develop a project? Update and change libraries? Is it a bit like MediaPool and Sub Folders?

I'm really giving myself a hard time with this, and would truly appreciate some "hints" and tips on how to use this very VERY powerful media managing facility. I feel once I've "cracked" this, it will be a very crucial aid to my Acid5 Project development.

Loop management is what I've wanted .. . now it is here, I need to be able to use it?

Thanks Guys! - And yes I'm going to post this over on the Acid Forum too.

Grazie

Based on an answer to my post in the other thread, I'm interesed to see what develops in this thread, Grazie.

I updated to Acid Pro 5 a while ago but have been doing other things and haven't even installed it yet. Media Manager sounds like something we (G and me) should learn more about.

As a discussion topic... on a philosophical level, I can't even think exactly how I would begin to classify my loop collection. There are so many things that might be interesting at a given time. Like: blues, rock, classical, hip hop, country, folk, sound effects, high-energy, mellow, moody, abrasive, fuzzy, electronic, instrumental, bass, guitar, simulated, ambient, percussive, vocal, orchestrial, gun shot, explosion, traffic, park, office, engine, mississipy blues, chicago blues, rock blues, guitar chords, piano chords, buzzes, chirps, dings, clicks, pops, fast, medium, slow (extreme tempo differences can matter in Acid), mixes, favorites, low res... to name a few.

Trees could help. If you can tag the loops with numerous meta tags, a sort of google tool might help match things. I don't know Acid 5 yet, but the task of categorizing well seems like a lot of work even in the best scenario.

Sorry for rambling on.

I wait with Grazie for enlightenment.

Grazie, Rex, perhaps you have already seen these, but there are a couple of sample tutorial vids on this site taken from an ACID 5 training DVD - here is the link to the page.

One of the subjects demo'd is and introduction to the media manager. Watching it a few times might give you some inspiration :)

Good suggestion ibliss.
Mind you, I think that cuz I gave Grazie the same suggestion in the Acid forum.
:-)

Like I said there, I'm getting this DVD set. Unless you work ALOT with Acid, it's got to be a great asset.
Check out the Groove Cloning feature. Wow! Drum groove doesn't match your bass groove? So what... it will after using this tool.
Acid Pro 5 is very powerful indeed!
