Green screen glitch

For some odd reason, this weird green glitch appears randomly. Usually i'm able to fix it by going into the folder C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 20.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\so4compoundplug and renaming the "compoundplug" file to compoundplugg. But since I already did that, I don't know what else to do. This editing software gives me so many issues for the price it was paid for and unfortunately, there's nothing like this. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

My specs:
5900x CPU
6900 xt GPU
32 GB of RAM
2TB of 980 Pro Samsung SSD

Do return the plug-in to it's normal state. If you want to change which is used you can do this in preferences, file io by checking or unchecking legacy AVC or HEVC.

For stability give VEGAS media it can edit well. If you share info about what kind of media you are editing you can get more advice.

In my experience, green screen is commonly caused by trying to decode 10 bit media by using legacy codecs... though you may have messed something up tampering with the files VEGAS needs to operate like that, so maybe try an uninstall-reinstall if disabling legacy codecs doesn't work.
