Are there any 'set' values for a green screen background using the RGB values? I want to create a background for a graphic but I would like to do it right the first time. Thanks.
Bob, I tried something like what you're looking to do. My RGB values for green were R=0 G=255 B=0. I used the pure green chromakey in Vegas and it worked like a charm.
If you are creating the graphic in your computer then like DaveT2 said, any color will work as long as it isn't in your graphic.
As far as true chroma key blue or green, it isn't going to be 0,255,0 simply because pure green in television is 0,235,0.
Also, something else you will notice in Vegas. The preset colors for Green Screen and Blue screen are
Green=41,244,24
Blue = 24,71,241
I would imagine that is the proper HSL > RGB translation for true chroma key green and blue.
Finaly, as others have said, if you are designing things in the computer, then alpha channels are the best way to go. Try doing a google search for chroma chroma key blue techniques and see what you get.
