I just found this board and started posting. I've recently purchased Vegas 4.0. Very recently, still patiently waiting for it to arrive, and if you believe the patient part I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I can't you a deal on.
I was making a short film a while back and needed an editor. I bought Let's Edit from Canopus cause the price was right. Mistake. It was basically a waste of money. No Audio Waveforms! And only one bin.
Anyway, I'm gearing up for another and saw the price of Vegas drop prior to new ver rel. I've downloaded the demo and I can't stinking wait to jump into this thing. A lot of stuff I'll never use, I mainly do cuts and dissolves. But I'm really psyched about the user community that exists for Vegas. This is a ton of good info that's all real world tested.
