The "group" function is extremely valuable, but I'm appalled
that it doesn't include locking in the relative vol, pan,
sfx envelopes. Is there another way to do this? Surely
there must be a way to allow envelopes to remain fixed
within selected areas of audio??
Nope. The envelopes are properties of the track, not the events.
We are aware that users want/need event based envelopes or a means to
move/shift track envelopes in time, and will be addressing this in
the future.

Thanks for that info, Peter. JMO, there are times when the envelope
should come along with a copy/paste, and times when I need all the
events but need a different envelope. An option, 'copy envelope Y/N'
would be very useful.
Also, Marvin A. Moore--in cases where a group of events is always
used in a certain way, like multiple parts of a combined effect,
those events can be selectively rendered--with envelopes--and
inserted repeatedly as a single, premixed event. Not quite what
you're asking for, I realize, but workable in many instances.
