The way I usually do it is to click the first one, shift-click the rest of them and then press G.

Thanks Mike for getting back so quick. I just figured that bit out with the adjacent video events and doing the shift click but how do I include the audio clip with the video?

The audio belonging to the video is in the selection automatically - if you have not pressed the little Lock-icon (Ignore Event Grouping).
You can also do the shift-click or maybe better: the ctrl-click on more tracks at the same time - i.e. starting with the 1. event on the upper time line and ending with a later event on a lower time line

Keep a mental picture of your different groupings especially when you have zoomed in

For eg.on some voxpops yesterday…”the content looked like I was editing with a meat grinder” I decided to replace a few frames….the rest is obvious
