In the 9.0a Release Notes, it reads:

Numerous enhancements to the Vegas color scheme

Well, while I can see some difference between the 9.0a and 9.0 interfaces under XP, there is NO difference under Vista x64.

Am I missing something?

Or am I witnessing results of the 9.0a -64bit prematurely exited installation script? Even though it didn't complete successfully, Vegas seemed to run just OK. Besides, it only happened with the 64 bit installer, and the weird behaviour I'm seeing is the same in the 32 bit version... Anyway:

- Under XP, I can see the "enhancement" to GUI color scheme; under Vista x64 - no (neither 32 nor 64 bit version)

- under XP, memory management and stability is OK; under Vista x64, both Vegas 9.0a versions show severe memory leak when rendering to MXF from the EX HQ timeline (all 8 GB of RAM consumed within 10 mins and system crashing); also they're always smart-rendering, regardless on the Preferences settings.

Please somebody confirm or deny my findings, as - my V9 installation script having ended prematurely - I need to know whether all the above are known issues, or they're resulting from bad install on my specific machine
