hello,
I'm rather new to video editing and especially Movie Studio :) I use it to edit quicktime videos that are recorded from the X-Plane flight simulator. The only destination for those edited movie files is a web page where I share those movies with friends and fellow pilots.
Therefore I want to export movies in best possible quality with smalles possible file size. And lots of the audience are MAC people - that's why I like to export to Quicktime.
Now, I do have Quicktime 7.x Pro also on this machine.
Now, in Movie Studio, when I go to
Make Movie => Save to Harddrive => Advanced Renderer => Custom
I have H.264 as a possible video format in the dropdown list. I choose that and Save/start the rendering.
Movie Studio starts to work but only for a few seconds and then It throws an error:
"An error occured while creating the media file ..."
"An error occured while converting with a codec."
What's wrong here? why does that not work? (the used audio encoder makes no difference, error even without sound)
When I choose H.263 the export does work. But quality and file size are bad.
Any ideas about getting H.264 encoded movies out of Movie Studio?
thanks
Jens
