Handbrake 10 and 4K

I recently upgraded from HB 9.9 64-bit to HB 10 64-bit. Yesterday I was struggling to render from a 4K project using the also beloved Vegas to Handbrake method but it failed all the time. It seems that HB 10 cant read the AVI signpost file properly and is unable to determine the resolution. While it will show "vegas" as source, it doesn't show the resolution which should be 3840x2160 and if you try to render to a file it throws an error saying you must first select a source; it works fine with HD projects.
I went back to HB 9.9 and its all working again.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It is not an answer to your question, but I think Handbrake 10 seems to have some bugs. I use HB 9.9 for "burning" subtitles and downscaling my HD videos. HB 10 was halting during rendering process. I couldn't find the cause of this problem. So I've returned to HB 9.9 and it works correctly.
