Get DirectX from www.microsoft/downloads

I've done some "writing" but it's not like you see the finer movements of the pen.
Take a look at

That particular VEG file was made on a system that has some components installed that you do not have. If you ignore the message, it *may* still work. If the VEG file needs that component to work correctly, then it may open but not be functional. Some VEG files specify they need things like Satish's Plug-n-Pac, for example.

Download CamStudio. Load your handwriting sample into an app like Paint. Use CamStudio to record you erasing your sample, end to start. Then load your erasing file into Vegas and play in reverse. This simulates you writing the sample. Hope this helps. Good Luck John.

I just use one of those drawing tablets that connects through a USB port, open up Photoshop, use Camstusio and record the screen while I write (or record with DV camera). It is great for doing this kind of thing. I think you can get one for around $30-$50 these days.

If You talk about Jason Abbott tutorial "Animated Handwriting ..." it say: "Here I use Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4 with SpiceMASTER 2." You must download and install SpiceMASTER 2.

Rall,
Jason Abbott did a great tutorial that can be found on either the Sundance Media Group site, on the DMN site, and there is a plagiarized version on one other site.
