Happiness is Vegas Pro 13 ?

Hi,

I've read many of the posts so far about v 13 issues and I have noted a couple of posts stating that it is rock solid and they are delighted (that is entirely good news). As someone who has been with Vegas since v 4 and generally upgrades (now running v 12), just wondering how many forum members are having a smooth and positive experience with v 13. I'm in the camp that simply wants reliability and stability , so I'm not put off by v 13 apparently not offering loads of "new" tricks (I actually see that as a positive, but only if it delivers stability) , however, I am keen to hear of positive experiences with this upgrade.

Thoughts?

maybe they are slowly updating their popup database of users?

my upgrade message didn't pop during the day, but later that evening it started to.

It says upgrade pricing available until May 31st.... will they release any patches before then?

I upgraded my Vegas 7 to Pro 13 with the extra $100 off through May, wow I couldn't pass that up. I have also bought and used Movie Studio 11 Platinum which is absolutely meant for consumer level. I prefer the pro version. Haven't wrung it out yet, but did a photo montage with lots of transitions and text overlays and it behaved well and the final result was great quality. I like how you can still upload directly to YouTube from the timeline. The only glitch I've seen is upon exiting Pro 13 it will show a crash message and send/not send info. Only when I close it! It has not crashed while in use.

Mine was literally via email. I was out of the country at the time and was checking email when that upgrade email from Sony came through. I've been upgrading consistently since version 5.0, so maybe that's why they email me whenever there's a new version?
