Yes Tim I think we are neighbours --- I'm in Woking, a long way from Honolulu (although my son and his family have spent their summer holidays in Hawaii for the last three years). Oregon and some oft he other fascinating and even romantic places places mentioned in this thread!

Indeed. Happy Holidays and while the above isn't Holiday-ish per se, it fits its spirit. Some well-wishing from someone who has MIA from here for most of the last couple of years due to no longer doing much video editing of any consequence. BUT...

I had to toss in something, for I had been bemoaning a few years back that the lack of THIS kind of community well-wishing tradition seemed to reflect a less friendly and more sterile ethos than what used to be here. So kudos for doing so again. And last but not least....

BLAST FROM THE PAST IDEA

At one time, someone started a thread asking that one to share a recent photo of oneself as part of this Seasonal tradition.

I found this so interesting due to the minimalist nature of this forum, (i.e. not even avatars). It was fun to see how, well, wrong one could be in imagining or assuming how the real human being behind the words of advice, wisdom, techie-talk and so on actually looks like.

Kind of like how one imagines what someone looks like when having only spoken to her or him over the phone, then when met, it can be quite a surprise.

In short, that thread really pleasantly humanized the place for a while. IMO.

Since I'm not contributing much anymore and most likely won't for some time...
Anyone want to revive that idea?
