Hardware decoding not really working (QSV DCH driver issue ?)

Hello all,

I'm a long time user of Vegas Movie Studio since version 12.

I've upgraded recently from MV16 Platinum to Vegas Pro 17 for just one thing : hardware decoding for AVC and HEVC. VP17 can preview my GoPro HEVC videos files in the timeline very smoothly. This makes editing of HEVC videos practical.

I have VP17 update 2 on a laptop with an Intel CoreI7 with integrated HD520 combined with an nVidia GeForce 940MX via the Optimus technology.

Everything works perfectly until Windows 10 has been updated to version 1909 and my Intel Graphics Driver gets updated to the latest DCH driver. Then, no crash, but the preview of HEVC is very laggy, like in MV16 !

I suspect that this is related to the QSV issue of Intel DCH driver.

I've reinstalled my old non DCH graphics driver and now the preview is again smooth. I hope that this driver will still work in future updates of Windows 10.

But it would be great if Magix update Vegas Pro to take into account new Intel DCH graphics drivers.

Thanks.

Cheers from France.
