Hardware for Vegas

I'm a new user to Vegas and so far I'm loving it. I know Vegas supports several kinds of audio and video hardware and different manufacturers, but I'm trying to get a feeling for what is being used successfully out there so I can decide what to buy. Better yet, I'd love to know what specific audio hardware is recommended for Vegas. For a Video suite it seems the Aja or Black Magic cards are the way to go, but for an audio suite, what do you folks recommend? (Any testimonies are welcome, M-Audio over MOTU, etc) Could be PCI, FW or whatever.

Thanks for any and all info.

Oh, and if this topic has already be extensively covered in another post, kindly direct me to that.

What are your audio needs?

Are you going to record multitrack audio?
Are you doing surround mixing?

For simple stereo, the Black Magic Deklink cards provide digital audio through AES/SPDIF and they provide ASIO drivers.

The Aja cards also have various AES audio support.

You will need some kind of A/D and D/A converts.
