I would upgrade if it did as it said and I quote it said "Edit hour long footage in minutes" but I am not going to upgrade it is not a drastic improvement and they need drastic improvements. I have 20 pro now. Thanks!
@Kimberly-Durecki Hi, I know VP21 is more stable than VP20, in fact I'd go as far as saying it's a lot more stable, I very rarely get crashes, I honestly can't remember the last time it crashed, VP20 crashed on a daily basis at least once.
VP is pretty much set at default, there's a few things turned on in Depreciated features but that's all, , I don't have Intel, I have AMD with no integrated graphics.
But I haven't tested render times, so for this post & out of curiousity -
This is the same 31min UHD AVC variable clip straight from my phone (some might say very variable 😂), this is a fairly normal file for me so that's why I used it.
I did VP21 first in case one got some kind of boost by going before the other, I've no idea if that could happen,
VP21 - 17.43 mins
VP20 - 19.28 mins
For me the stability is worth the upgrade, there also seems to be a big improvement in playback with HEVC. Since I made this clip 2yrs ago I've swapped my phone over to HEVC so the footage matches my GoPro.
@Kimberly-Durecki Hi, I must mention others have had problems with the later builds (300) - (315) & have reverted to the earlier VP21 (208) build., Maybe download the trial first but from the general consensus it seems most are happy with 21.
