I originally only had video but read that i needed to downgrade my quicktime to 7.6.0 for the audio to work. The audio now works but there is no longer any video, I cant figure out how to get the video back without losing the audio again. please help if you know how to fix either of the 2. I can just re update my quicktime to get video back. thank you a head of time for anyones help.

Project Properties:
From the File (or Project) Menu, choose Properties.

Media Properties:

Right click on an event (clip) in the timeline and choose Properties. Go to the Media tab, there should be a Format field along with Frame rate, Attributes and Pixel Aspect Ratio. That should get us started.
