Having Cursor Remain in Timeline when stopped

Could someone tell me if Vegas 5.0 can be configured to have the cursor stop in the timeline rather than return to the start point?

There is an option for that in prefs. Sorry not in front of vegas at the moment but it's there under General Prefers I think...

Correct .. under Preferences > General : Make spacebar and F12 Play/Pause instead of Play/Stop.

Uncheck it (if it's checked) and you'll have the behaviour you want.

I prefer leaving the spacebar as stop because i often want the cursor to go back where it started. I use the enter key for pause. These are the default options and they work just spiffy for me.

But with space bar as play / pause you can use your left hand for everything. (use ESC for 'stop')
