Having problem with using recording function on timeline....

There is probably a very simple solution to this problem but I can't figure it out. When I insert a new audio track with nothing on it, and press record to record naration, it records... but when I press it again to stop recording, the recorded file is not stored anywhere on the timeline, or on my computer?? What am I doing wrong? I specified a folder for it to store the recorded audio files in, but still nothing is being stored, or saved. Is this recording function for something else, and I just think its for naration? Please help!

There are two recording buttons you have to push. The round button in the track header arms the track for recording, but doesn't start the recording process. You must then click the round button under the timeline (near the other transport controls) to start recording. You will see the waveform appear on the screen while you record. Then, when you're done recording and click on the transport record button again to stop it, you will be prompted to enter a file name for saving.
