HAVING PROBLEMS RECORDING STEREO

LUCHO wrote on 6/28/2002, 8:11 PM
I JUST GOT A M-AUDIO DELTA 66 SOUND CARD AND VEGAS 3.0 OR VEGAS PRO, IN NEITHER OF THEM I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RECORD IN STEREO. ONCE I'M READY TO RECORD VOCAL TRACKS FOR SOME REASON I GET ONLY ONE CHANNEL WORKING AND THE METER IS LIGHTED ON ONE SIDE ONLY.
I HAVE BEEN GOING INSANE TRYING TO SOLVE THIS PUZZLE AND I'M PRETTY SURE THAT MUST BE SOMETHING VERY SIMPLE BUT DUE TO MY INEXPRERIENCE I CAN NOT SEEM TO RESOLVE.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

THANX

Vocal tracks are MONO only. Stereo means there is 2 seperate sources of sound, which means the vocalist would have to have 2 heads and be using 2 seperate microphones to be able to record a single vocalist in stereo.

In order to only record the mono track, you can set Vegas to record either from the left or right channel of your source. This is an option on the right context menu of the track.
