For $324 with shipping, I would add $26 to get a Westinghouse 24" LCD.

This Samsung monitor has received some less than flattering reviews.

I'd buck up and spend just a bit more for the Dell 24"

Why not? You can even get a combo of it and a Q6600 system for $719.00:

Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop PC w/ 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
E248WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor; Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz; 1GB RAM; 250GB HDD; DL DVD+/-RW; Vista Home Basic; keyboard & mouse included $1019 - $300 off Coupon Code: 9GL1S7F1C6$9LD = $719

Start Here http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=19&dgvcode=ss&c=US&l=EN&vw=list&oc=DDCWDA2&dgc=CJ&cid=7420&lid=0

(1) Select Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 (+$200)
(2) Select Monitor - 24 inch E248WFP LCD Monitor (+$250)
(3) Add to cart and use Dell Coupon Code: 9GL1S7F1C6$9LD

I would really recommend upgrading to something beyond Vista Home Basic (which has a 12% user satisfaction rating, only slightly better than those Brooklyn camera stores), the Configurator has all Vista versions but strangely no XP upgrade.

I saw the Soyo 24" at Office Max for $299 on Sunday. No bells and whistles. There was a poor connection at the store so I cannot compare image to anything.
