I'm new to Movie Studio 7, but have been using ULEAD V10 for a while. When i finish editing HD in MSV7 and try to burn a disc, it downgrades to 720 lines. ULEAD allows me to put HD onto disc as long as there is room. Currently I'm transferring WMV files to ULEAD to burn the HD DVD's. All of my work is shorts, less than 20 minutes, so standard DVD's work.
Q1: Any better answers to burn HD DVD's directly from VMS7?
Q2: Is there a quality preference for transferring files in .avi versus .wmv?
(wmv's take about 5x longer to render than .avi's, but the widescreen .avi's from VMS7 get's screwed to 1.3 up when I import to ULEAD to burn the HD DVD's whereas the .wmv's import as widescreen.)
