I have three HDs. One HD has all caputred a/v files and Vegas renders to the other non-system HD. Which HD should the Vegas Video's temp files be written to? I think VV uses temp files while rendering, so I am not clear on the most effective setup.
In general one is advised to NOT use the system (C:) drive for rendering. It makes sense to grab a file from one HD, process it and then write it to another. This way the drivehead never has to scurry around between files. I just dont know what the most effective setup is for the temp files, because I dont know which drive is least likely to already be "working" while VV writes something to a temp file...
