Hi,
I have some videos recorded with a panasonic TM900 that are reported as 1920x1080, 25fps, Field order: Upper field first.

I need to create two outputs from Vegas:
1 - full HD version (or 720p is also okay)
2 - PAL dvd

I'm a bit worried about field orders since I get the tipical strangeness on the moving borders... and

Which are the correct workflows and settings ?

"the tipical strangeness on the moving borders"

Would you care to expand on that?

If the field order is flagged correctly in your source videos, then Vegas will look after things for you.

When downsizing HD to SD, be sure to set a deinterlace method to either "blend" or "interpolate" so that Vegas will do the downconversion on fields rather than frames. There may be a theoretical but slight benefit from setting your SD render to match the HD (UFF).

The interlace method was set to none... so the problem... thank you...

unfortunately I can't test... I keep having "The system is low on memory"... and some red frames, on a "pro" hp workstation with plenty of ram and cores, on 10c...

:-(((((

10c 32-bit or 10c 64-bit? You do know that 10e is the latest?

Yes, I know the last of the 10 series is "e"... actually I have "d" (not c) installed and it always worked ok... I also bought the upgrade to 11 but I read horror stories here and decided not to upgrade.

So, it is 10d 32 bit and now it seems to render correctly, except for the interlacing that I should wait for the render to complete to test...

Thanks
