HDMI Capture?

Hi - My apologies if this has been asked before, I searched the forum and didn't find anything. Can Vegas Pro now capture HDMI if you have appropriate hardware? I have a Kondor Blue HDMI to USB-C converter and it works great if I use OBS Studio to capture and save, but I'm wondering if the Capture feature in Vegas has been updated - of course previously it only supported old-style DV and HDV/SDI. I would prefer to be able to do all of this within Vegas if possible rather than having to fool around with an external program. I'm currently still on Vegas Pro 16 and would upgrade to VP23 if it has this feature.

Thanks!

You’re already using the right capture application. If you would like opinions about the best video and audio format for Vegas Pro editing, speak now.

If I was running Vegas Pro 16, I would have upgraded years ago for many other reasons.

I don't do enough video editing to justify upgrading every time, maybe a couple of videos a year anymore. But why would Vegas Pro include a video capture feature and NOT include HDMI capture yet? Makes no sense.

But I'm guessing from your response that the answer to my question is "no". Shame.

Vegras Pro 22 Capture has the facility to capture from a HDMI to USB adaptor and it works. Vegas 23 has an all new Capture utility but it doesnt work. Not for me anyway, it doesnt find any sources not even my webcam.

My webcam works perfectly with Vegas 23. Just have to turn it on and select it from the Vegas Capture dialog.
