HDV 1080i capture

Presently I am having problems in capturing Video HDV 1080i from my Sony camera to Sony Vegas. Do I need to have a special card to capture the HDV 1080i video to Sony Vegas.

What kind of problems?
What's the make and model of your camera?
All you need is a firewire cable and to have your camera set correctly.
After that, you need to be using the HD capture app that's built into Vegas.

You say "presently". Does that mean that it used to work OK? if Yes, what significant changes have you made since then?

I capture from my Sony HDV camera via my firewire card in my computer with either HDV Split or Sony's HDV capture program.
