HDV 25P or 50i?

Same old basic issue.
I have to shoot some concerts with a Sony Z7 and have to decide to shoot in HDV 25P or 50i.
Deliverables will be both DVD & Blu-Ray.
Doubts arise as there is no 1440x1080 25P render template, only 1440x1080 50i (Vegas Pro 8 or Pro 9, both on my system).
Should I use the HDV 1440x1080 50i render template and change the Field Order to "None (progressive scan)" (or the Blu-ray 1440x1080 50i render template for that matter and do the same)?
What will DVDA do with either the 25P or 50i videostream?

Suggestions welcomed.

Since those concerts will be my last video efforts, the Sony Z7 will be for sale in a week or two, haha (Netherlands).

Thanks, Dries.

Its totally a matter of taste whether you use 50i or 25p as they give slightly different looks.
25p isnt supported by the blu ray spec but its easy to change it to 24p. I use cineform hd link and convert it during capture.
if you want progressive its far better to film in progressive to start with but if you need to change to progressive then you are correct, you just change the field order to none.
The only time I use 50i is for high speed sporting events because I think it handles the action better.
I dont use DVDA but 25p is a legal format for DVD so it would be fine. Ive produced lots of 25p dvds.
