I've been importing .m2t files into Vegas 6 and converting them into CineForm HD Codec V2.1, and I've noticed that the clip plays more smoothly and with more frames/sec. when Properties are set to HDV 1080-60i (1440x1080, 29.97 fps) rather than NTSC DV Widescreen (720x480, 29.97 fps). I assumed that once the HDV file has been converted to an intermediate that it should then play back most efficiently as an .avi file, so that it can be mixed with regular DV in the timeline. Am I wrong about this? It also seems to look clearer to me in HDV mode instead of widescreen DV.
