Just wondering if anyone else has found idiosycratic (sp?) tendancies when you use DV footage in a project which is largely HDV based. I have some footage I shot with a consumer cam in non-widescreen mode to replicate the look of 8mm film.
I captured it into vegas using the standard DV template then mucked it up with various effects, grain, scratches, bleeds, etc to make it look like film. I then rendered it as an AVI and began using it throughout my project (which, as I said earlier, is largly HDV with some stills). When It comes time to render, once when I was trying to make a QUICKTIME, and several times when I was renbering as MPG2 to go back to HDV, the render would fail right at the moment of one of these "doctored" clips.
