HDV rendering problem

Rendering to mpg2 from mt2 file and it blows up over and over saying I need to contact Microsoft about the problem and aborts vegas 7. Wow, never had this problem before. p4 3-GHz 2GB RAM windows XP pro. What is this? Blending option on. Do I need to render it as an avi file first?

Oh, bet this has happened to someone else before.

I don't know if anybody has noticed but the number of "render problems" in this board have increased quite a bit since 7e. I had similar render problems and went back to 7d.... no problems at all now.

Curious - continue to work the problem. Can't render to another track either. So I'm wondering what this is since at least part of the project, the first part, rendered from HDV to mpg without issues. Like there's something in the track causing it. So I tried starting the rendering in various places without success. Kics the whole thing off. This is a wedding I shot last weekend using a XH-A1 using a HV-10 for playback captured as 1080i. First time I've used the A1. So I'm wondering if I've stumbled on to some strange combination. Guess I'll continue to pursue this on my own. Good grief!

I had a 30 hour render recently with V7d fail to finish, the first time ever for any vegas project render. Twice in a row. Nested Vegs containing HDV m2t's.

After several days, I "unnested" the Vegs, rendering lower vegs first, and replacing into the upper Vegs. Finally finished ok.

I never reported it, been too busy with other things. All footage FX1. I did a test capture with HDVSplit around that time, not sure if that was the footage (I doubt it).

Recaptured from the A1 instead of the HV-10. But why would that make a difference? re-rendering a 30 minute mt2 with V7e . Not sure what else to pursue after it refused to render to a new track.

Recaptured from XH-A1 instead of the HV-10 and rendered normal.
There's no doubt HDV and m2t files give me the gitters but the video is stunning. Looking forward to 64 bit processing...well sort of.

isolated to one snippet of m2t video 24MB long. Deleted from machine. And I haven't lost my temper ...yet.
