The Cineform site describes some of the things their standalone product does that you don't get in V6 (Scene detection on capture of HDV, simultaneous capture and conversion to the intermediate codec... and more).

For the scene detection, you can also use AV-Cutty, what works now fine with the Cineform Codec in Vegas 6. Download here:
